Asynchronous logic is like a zombie, which many IC designers have thought to be dead but not quiet. A few designers, me included, still design circuits using asynchronous logic. Asynchronous logic offers many advantages: 1) low energy consumption due to the event-driven nature, which means energy is only consumed when and where it is needed.
